The Glendyne slate is dark grey with shades of blue, giving a touch of elegance and nobility to buildings, enhancing their aesthetic and market value. Its shades are very homogeneous despite the presence of a discrete stratification marked by silts which are usually very fine. In addition, Glendyne slate is free of pyrite or any other metal intrusion.

Glendyne slate is normally laid with copper or Aluminum nails (30/32mm x 3.00/3.35mm) but can also be laid with slate hooks.

Please note that slate hooks cannot be used on roofs below 30°. Roofs lower than this but not exceeding minimum pitch for the slate must be nailed.
Glendyne slate can be cut with an angle grinder by ideally should be cut with either a hand held/electric slate cutter or guillotine to preserve the dressed edge on the slate cuts.
