Spanish slate is normally laid with copper or Aluminum nails (30/32mm x 3.00/3.35mm) but can also be laid with slate hooks.
Please note that slate hooks cannot be used on roofs below 30°. Roofs lower than this but not exceeding minimum pitch for the slate must be nailed.
Spanish slate can be cut with an angle grinder by ideally should be cut with either a hand held/electric slate cutter or guillotine to preserve the dressed edge on the slate cuts.
